Self-Hosted Email Infrastructure

Built and configured a self-hosted email system to ensure reliable message delivery, reduce spam issues, and maintain full control over email infrastructure.

01. OVERVIEW

This project focuses on building a fully functional email system using a self-hosted approach. The setup enables sending and receiving emails while addressing common real-world issues such as failed delivery and spam filtering. The goal was to create a reliable and controlled messaging system similar to what small businesses would need for daily communication.

02. METHODOLOGY

  • Email Server Setup: Deployed and configured an email hosting environment using a control panel to manage domains, accounts, and mail services.
  • Message Delivery Configuration: Adjusted server and domain settings to ensure emails are properly sent and received without failures.
  • Spam Reduction & Trust Setup: Configured domain verification and validation settings to improve email trust and reduce the chance of messages being marked as spam.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Performed testing across different email providers and resolved delivery issues to ensure consistent performance.
